Formerly known as the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Middle Tennessee, Care Net first opened its doors in 1995, after two years of foundational work was laid by the original steering committee of twelve passionate people in Dickson County.
The vision started with Terry and Lynette Edmondson, who had a dream to help women choose life when faced with an unexpected pregnancy, with the primary focus to engage evangelicals in responding to the abortion crisis. The beloved Chris Russell was named as our first, founding CEO.
In September 2008, 3,700 sq. was added to our facility in order to provide a critical service to our community: ultrasound technology.
As a medical clinic, we are able to diagnose pregnancy for prenatal care, determine gestational age of the baby, and determine if pregnancy is a viable intrauterine pregnancy. With addition of medical services, we instituted another name change: Care Net Pregnancy Medical Center.
